ETC – Bringing Stories to Life Through Light
Light shapes our world, influencing mood, focus, and storytelling. In theatre, lighting transforms a stage, creating atmosphere and guiding the audience’s experience. ETC understands this power and has spent over 50 years developing the tools professionals need to craft with light.
Founded in the mid-1970s by four university students, ETC set out to build a better lighting control console. That drive for innovation led to the creation of a company that now delivers industry-leading luminaires, control consoles, automated rigging, architectural lighting solutions, and networking systems. ETC’s technology is trusted in performance venues worldwide, from intimate theatres to grand opera houses.
Always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, ETC listens to the needs of the industry to develop innovative solutions. Their luminaires offer precise color control, their intuitive consoles provide unmatched flexibility, and their automated rigging systems enhance stage management efficiency. Every product is designed to help lighting practitioners bring their creative visions to life.
More than just a lighting manufacturer, ETC is a partner in artistic expression. Their dedication to advancing technology and supporting the industry ensures that every production shines at its brightest.
