Swisson – DMX Tester & RDM / Ethernet Controller – XMT-500

Swisson

The XMT-500 is a versatile DMX/RDM/Art-Net/sACN tester with signal analysis, remote RDM control, cable diagnostics, and a full-color TFT display.

Description

The XMT-500 is the flagship of the Swisson testing family, offering the most comprehensive feature set for modern lighting professionals. While the XMT-450 provides a streamlined focus on DMX and RDM, the XMT-500 expands these capabilities into the network domain, making it an indispensable “all-in-one” tool for complex environments that rely on both traditional cabling and Ethernet-based protocols.

Comprehensive Network & Signal Control: Building on the robust DMX and RDM foundations of the XMT-450, the XMT-500 adds full support for Art-Net and sACN via a rugged etherCON connection. Users can seamlessly send or receive values across any universe, and with the latest firmware updates, the device can even function as a portable 2-port Ethernet-to-DMX node. This allows for the remote configuration of RDM-compliant fixtures and the monitoring of network data streams with the same ease as a standard DMX signal.

Advanced Diagnostic Suite: To ensure total system stability, the XMT-500 provides high-precision real-time insights into signal integrity. It monitors every timing aspect of DMX and RDM signals and offers data-package analysis to identify flickers or data collisions. For hardware troubleshooting, the integrated cable tester automatically scans all pin connections for 3-pin and 5-pin DMX cables, as well as RJ-45 interconnections. The included cable test dongle even allows for the effortless testing of long, pre-installed cable runs.

Premium Hardware for the Field: The XMT-500 features the same modern interface as the XMT-450, centered around a vibrant, full-color IPS TFT display that remains perfectly readable even in direct sunlight. Its intuitive menu system and multifunction soft keys allow for rapid navigation in high-pressure environments. The internal high-capacity Li-ion battery ensures hours of operation and is conveniently rechargeable via USB-C.

Future-Proof Performance: True to the Swisson philosophy of being “designed to grow with your needs,” the XMT-500 is equipped with significant processing power and memory overhead. This ensures the device is ready for future feature expansions and protocol updates, making it a long-term investment for any professional lighting toolkit.

Stay tuned for free feature updates.
