Description
The HIGHLANDER Wash from GLP is a standout fixture that delivers high performance, high output, and premium quality from a compact discharge source with a superior optical system.
Powered by a 1,400-watt lamp and equipped with a large 230 mm (9-inch) front lens, the HIGHLANDER Wash delivers massive light output without compromising on quality. With a native colour temperature of 6,000 K, the optics boast CRI, CQS, and TM-30 quality indices all measuring 90 or above.
Its powerful optical system offers a 7:1 zoom ratio, ranging from a tight 4° to a wide 61°, with beam control provided by a fast motorised iris and a full-feature framing system. The four-blade framing system allows each blade to tilt and cross the beam independently, with full 90° rotation of the entire assembly for precision and flexibility.
The colour system includes a glass dichroic CMY module for a wide spectrum from soft pastels to saturated hues, complemented by two independently controlled colour wheels (each with 7 colours plus open). A separate CTO system enables colour temperature control from 2,700 K to 6,000 K, making it adaptable to any lighting environment.
Additional features include smooth dimming with selectable curves, separate shutter control with built-in macros, fast 16-bit pan and tilt movement, and an ECO operating mode.
The HIGHLANDER Wash also features a compact, baseless design suitable for any orientation. Power is delivered via Neutrik True1, with data connections via 5-pin XLR or Ethernet, supporting DMX, Art-Net, or sACN protocols. It runs flicker-free and includes convenience features such as a battery-powered control interface for configuration without mains power, auto-sensing PSU, four carrying handles, and versatile rigging options—all in a lightweight 29.5 kg (65 lbs.) fixture.
